Safeguarding
Much Marcle Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
At Much Marcle, we believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Our leads in safeguarding are:
- Mrs Laura Davies, Headteacher – Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Miss Julie Sullivan, Deputy Head – Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Mrs Emma Smith – governor with responsibility for safeguarding
All staff receive annual safeguarding training through our DSL, as well as regular updates throughout the year. Any new staff receive safeguarding training delivered by the DSL, as part of their induction to school.
In addition, all staff in school, whatever their role, receive safeguarding training by an external provider, every three years.
Mrs Davies - Designated Safeguarding Lead
Miss Sullivan - Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
