Class 4

Class 4 is home to Years 5 and 6. The teacher in Class 4 is Miss Sullivan and our teaching assistant is Mrs Allard.

Moving up into Class 4 comes with a sense of responsibility that the children enjoy. They become assembly monitors, librarians, iPad and laptop monitors and four children are lucky enough to take on the role of House Captains, as voted for by the children in Ash, Beech, Hazel and Willow.

Each week, a group of children from Year 5 and 6 lead one of our collective worship sessions, which they thoroughly enjoy. This helps to prepare them for their leading roles in the Summer Play – an event which Class 4 have the privilege of taking the leading roles in.

Throughout their time in Class 4, the children cover some challenging and exciting topics in all curriculum areas. We prepare the children in the best way possible for their transition to secondary school. This means that things such as having their reading book and PE kit in school daily and handing their homework in on time are very important and something that the children themselves should be responsible for organising.

Some of our children are delighted to show you around Class 4.

Running a mile without stopping. We have been training for a long time!

Forest School also keeps us fit and healthy and we can learn about nature.

We know how important it is to take good care of each other; in Class 4 kindness is contagious.

We love reading, both silently and to our Buddies in Class 1.

Science is one of our favourite subjects...

...but we also love Art and DT.
