Much Marcle Primary School hosted the South Herefordshire Partnership’s Ogden Trust Science Fair. The Ogden Trust works with schools to promote the teaching and learning of Physics. The fair involved demonstrations by children from the five partnership schools – Much Marcle, Walford, The Lea, Gorsley Goffs and St Josephs. There was also demonstrations from Dr Simon Rhodes and colleagues from the physics department of Hereford Cathedral School, ex-Much Marcle students from John Masefield High School, a STEM ambassador and a stall from Westons. The children from Much Marcle made circuits to power some of the fantastic space-themed objects that they made as their half-term homework project; people were very impressed with how they worked. The fair ended with a raffle, in which some excellent science-themed prizes were won. We look forward to next year’s event!
