Children and staff have been waiting patiently for the arrival of some very special, two legged, fluffy friends. The children watched in awe and amazement as the duck eggs hatched before their eyes. Taking care of and nurturing the eggs and new ducklings has offered endless opportunities for discussions about life cycles and the natural world around us. The children have their own names for the ducklings and have stories about their individual characters already. The whole school said goodbye to the ducklings in the sunshine on the Barton’s. A family from school are going to give the ducklings a lifelong home and we look forward to hearing all about their future adventures.
