During February and March, KS1 were fortunate enough to take part in forest school sessions in the local woods. These sessions focused on nature and animals. The children explored the woods in search of minibeasts and then used mud clay to build lifelike models of them. We also studied the work of Andy Goldsworthy and had a go at creating our own art with the nature around us. For the final session, we helped a chicken find her lost eggs. The children went on an egg hunt and once they had found the eggs they worked together to build strong nests to protect them. The children thoroughly enjoy their time at forest school and are very much looking forward to the next time we go.
