The tree on our school logo represents the Yew tree in St Bartolomew’s Church that has stood for over 1700 years. It has always been special to us but we were excited to hear that it is one of only 70 trees chosen across the county to form the Queen’s Green Canopy, in honour of her Platinum Jubilee. Our school logo is now even more special than before and we are very proud to wear one of the Queen’s royal trees on our sweatshirts. The whole school visited the tree, sang the national anthem, whilst dressed in Union flag colours.
