Wow, what an event! It was an extremely exciting morning last Friday when the whole school gathered together in their houses to begin their apple baking competition. The children in Pearmain, Pippin, Pomerory and Russet worked in teams to follow a recipe carefully in order to create a sweet or savoury apple dish. The standard was outstanding and when the time was up, Mrs Park had the extremely difficult but delicious job of tasting the end products. Well done to Russet and Pomeroy who came joint 3rd. It was very close between Pippin and Pearmain who had both created an apple and cinnamon dish, but there had to be a winner and Pearmain came out on top with their Apple and Cinnamon pie! We are very much looking forward to our next inter house competition.
